The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has revised the schedule for RRB NTPC 2025 Stage 1 Computer-based test (CBT). The examination will now be held in various centers across the country from June 5 to June 24, 2025. The admit card will be available for download from the official RRB website from June 1, 2025.
This exam is a crucial step in the recruitment process for 11,558 vacancies under the non-technical categories (NTPC), encompassing both undergraduate and graduate-level positions within Indian Railways.
RRB NTPC Exam 2025: Basic Exam Time
Stage 1 CBT will be held in three shifts each day:
Shift 1: Reporting time at 7:30 am, Gate Closing Time 8:30 am, exam time 9:00 am to 10:30 am
Shift 2: Reporting time at 11:15 pm, Gate Closing Time at 12:15 pm, Examination Time from 12:45 am to 2:15 pm
Shift 3: Reporting time at 3:00 pm, Gate Closing Time at 4:00 pm, Examination Time from 4:30 AM to 6:00 pm
RRB NTPC Exam Selection Process
The recruitment process includes several stages:
Computer-based test (CBT) 1: Initial screening test
Computer-based test (CBT) 2: for shortlisted candidates
Typing Skill Test: Applied to some posts
Document verification: Final phase before appointment
Candidates who have successfully registered can download their admit card from June 1, 2025. City Intimation Slip, which informs the candidates of their examination location, will be available from May 27, 2025.
Exam pattern and courses
Stage 1 CBT includes 100 multi-friendly questions within 90 minutes, covering:
General Awareness: 40 Questions
Mathematics: 30 questions
General intelligence and logic: 30 questions
Each correct answer gives a mark prize, while one-third of a mark is cut for every incorrect response in the form of negative marking. Disabled candidates (PWBD) who require scribes will be allowed an additional 30 minutes to complete the examination.
