Educational Qualifications (Essential Requirements)

Candidates must ensure they meet the specific educational qualifications before attending the interview. Here are the highlights for major posts:

For PGT (Post Graduate Teachers)

• Essential: Master’s Degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks AND B.Ed. from an NCTE recognized institution.

• PGT Computer Science: M.Sc. (CS/IT) / MCA / M.E. / M.Tech (CS/IT) with at least 50% marks and B.Ed.

• Note: The Master’s degree subject must align with the graduation subject (e.g., PGT English requires English in both PG and Graduation).

For TGT (Trained Graduate Teachers)

• Essential: Bachelor’s/Honours Degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks AND B.Ed. with 50% marks.

• Mandatory: Must be CTET (Paper-II) qualified (CBSE).

• TGT (Maths): Must have studied Mathematics as Main subject for 3 years, along with Physics and one of (Chemistry/CS/Electronics) at graduation level.

• TGT (Social Studies): Must have studied any two subjects out of History, Geography, Economics, and Political Science.

For PRT (Primary Teacher)

• Essential: Senior Secondary (10+2) with 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) OR 4-year B.El.Ed.

• Mandatory: Must be CTET (Paper-I) qualified (CBSE).

For Balvatika Teacher

• Essential: Class XII with 50% marks and Diploma in Nursery Teacher Education / Pre-school Education (D.E.C.Ed) of not less than 2 years duration or B.Ed (Nursery).

For Special Educator

• Essential: XII Passed + RCI recognized qualification (D.Ed Special Education / DSE etc.) + CTET (Paper-I) qualified + Valid CRR Number.

For Computer Instructor

• Essential: B.E./B.Tech (CS) / MCA / M.Sc. (CS) / M.Sc. (IT) with 50% marks.

• OR B.Sc/M.Sc (Science/Maths) with PGDCA or ‘O’ Level from DOEACC.

The salary for the contractual positions is fixed as per Kendriya Vidyalaya norms:

Age Limit and Important Notes

• Maximum Age: 65 years as of 31.03.2027.

• Preference: Candidates who have qualified CTET will be given preference for TGT and PRT posts.

• Selection Process: A written test may be conducted to shortlist candidates for PRT, PGT (CS), and Computer Instructor posts if the number of applicants is high.

• Documents Required: Candidates must bring the filled Bio-data form (available on the school website), one passport size photo, original mark sheets/certificates, self-attested photocopies, and a photo ID proof (Aadhar/Voter ID).
